Hey fans, we need your help! We have been chosen as one of the eleven finalists in a contest put on by the Regina Symphony Orchestra to play a free show in the park for the Symphony Under the Sky concert. All you have to do to help us get a chance to play is open up this media player and listen to our song, Entertainaz. Three bands will be chosen based on the play counts from the media player in addition to a judges panel. Please take some time to give the song a listen.

We also have some other exciting news. We have finished recording all of the drum tracks for our follow up album to 'Elephant Summer'. This is going to be a good one! Also, check out the shows page for some new dates in August.

New Regina shows added (one more may pop up shortly as well): 2/3/2011

First of all, we would like to say that our first tour went fantastic. We would like to thank all of the fans who came out to support us and all of the people who helped us out.

On another note, the website now has a new look. Furthermore, there is now a press page. This has links to our interviews and online Fur Eel articles. The media page now features videos (our YouTube channel has been updated with some great tour footage.) We have tons more photos and videos on the way so keep posted. The About page has also been updated with new contact info in case you're interested in booking.

We are hoping to get a little tour in at the end of April so be on the look out for dates and if you have any help for us send us an email or call us.

We are gearing up for our big CD release tour. The CDs are being pressed right now and the official release is Feb. 17th at McNally's in Regina. Until then, be on the lookout for a feature in the Regina LeaderPost in the upcoming weeks as well as a radio interview on 91.3 CJTR in Regina (Red Beard's Blues segment) at 3PM on February 14th. Finally, Winnipeg's "The Uniter" has posted an online article about Fur Eel and our gig at Sam's Place in Winnipeg on February 19th.

New shows added to the Fur Eel tour.

The Elephant Summer photoshoot is done and the album is on the final steps of mixing and mastering. The album will be out February 17th, 2011.

New shows added to the Fur Eel tour.

We have also been working hard on planning the next few months. Thomas' return to Regina is coming up in the next week and Fur Eel will begin working hard on new tunes and preparing for the tour. The bands first EP is also being mixed right now (consider yourself lucky if you got one of the limited pre-release copies back in August). The album, Elephant Summer, will be released before the tour begins in February 2011.
